The MTA’s decision is suicide. Albany will never move on it just because they voted in favor of the hike. In the 1960’s the system was moved from out of the city’s control and into Albany’s; you really think the rest of upstate New York wants to pay for our metrocards? What a beat system. Public transit in the US is tragically flawed and damned.
